I guess you could say our lab members sure do Gofar!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_858\" style=\"width: 2570px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-858\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/elecctro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/158\/2023\/12\/IMG_0705-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-858\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Christine Chesley (at podium) giving her talk at the 2023 AGU meeting<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Christine Chesley, our post-doc, had the opportunity to give a talk presenting her work on the controlled source electromagnetic data collected on the Gofar cruise last year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/elecctro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/158\/2023\/12\/IMG_4170-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bailey Fluegel, a 2nd-year Ph.D student, presented a poster detailing the results from the Vulcan data that was also collected on the Gofar cruise. The Vulcan receiver is a towed receiver that is more sensitive to shallow ocean sediments.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_862\" style=\"width: 2570px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-862\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/elecctro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/158\/2023\/12\/IMG_4164-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-862\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Natalie Hummel excitedly explains the MT results shown in her poster<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Natalie Hummel, who is also a 2nd-year Ph.D student, was able to showcase her research on the Magnetotelluric potion of the Gofar project.
