{"id":601,"date":"2019-04-25T10:18:02","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T14:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/ioeb\/?page_id=601"},"modified":"2022-02-25T11:17:42","modified_gmt":"2022-02-25T15:17:42","slug":"overview","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/ioeb\/overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Overview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<h1>Overview<\/h1>\n\t<p>The Ice-Ocean Environmental Buoy (IOEB) was developed at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whoi.edu\/\">Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution<\/a>\u00a0with support from the U.S.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onr.navy.mil\/\">Office of Naval Research<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamstec.go.jp\/e\/\">Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0acquire air, ice, and upper ocean\u00a0observations in the Arctic pack-ice\u00a0in the 1990s.
