{"id":1886,"date":"2019-09-04T17:08:21","date_gmt":"2019-09-04T21:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/?page_id=1886"},"modified":"2021-07-20T12:48:35","modified_gmt":"2021-07-20T16:48:35","slug":"itp-32-data-processing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/data\/completed-missions\/itp-32\/itp-32-data-processing\/","title":{"rendered":"ITP 032 Data Processing"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\t<h1>ITP32 Data Processing<\/h1>\r\n\t<p>The 257 profiles that were recovered from the ITP were processed according to the procedures described in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2019\/08\/ITP_Data_Processing_Procedures_35803-1.pdf\">ITP Updated Data Processing Procedures<\/a>.\u00a0 The processing parameters for ITP 32 are shown in the figures to the right.\u00a0\u00a0<b>After November 2, 2009 profile locations are interpolated using Fowler and Tschudi (2003, updated 2013) sea ice motion vectors to infer drift, due to the absence of GPS locations from the buoy.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0While there were a few occurrences where the drift speed exceeded 30 cm\/s causing the profiler trouble climbing the wire, over 98% of the profiles spanned greater than 700 m.<\/p>\r\n<p>Thermohaline staircases were present throughout most the time series, enabling CTD lag corrections. The vertical extent of the step region remained largely constant and the sensor lags varied little.\u00a0 The were several instances where the potential conductivity exhibits some temporary shifts, but the dataset was largely absent of fouling.<\/p>\r\n<p>Fowler, C. and M.
