St. Laurent. On the same icefloe, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oc.nps.edu\/~stanton\/fluxbuoy\/deploy\/buoy22.html\">Naval Postgraduate School Arctic Ocean Flux Buoy\u00a0<\/a>(AOFB 22) and a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/imb-crrel-dartmouth.org\/imb\/\">US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) Ice Mass Balance Buoy\u00a0<\/a>(IMBB 2010-E) were installed. The ITP operated on a standard sampling schedule of 2 one-way profiles between 7 and 760 m depth each day until the profiler battery failed prematurely after only 6 months.\u00a0 Fortunately, the system drifted near the cruise track of the<em>\u00a0CCGS Louis S. St. Laurent<\/em>\u00a0during the JOIS 2011 expedition, and the opportunity was taken to recover the ITP intact.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2019\/09\/DSCN6061_449813.jpg\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2019\/09\/DSCN6061_449813.jpg\" alt=\"CCGS Louis S.
