{"id":2640,"date":"2019-11-21T17:06:25","date_gmt":"2019-11-21T21:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/?page_id=2640"},"modified":"2021-07-20T13:34:12","modified_gmt":"2021-07-20T17:34:12","slug":"itp60-deployment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/itp\/data\/completed-missions\/itp60\/itp60-deployment\/","title":{"rendered":"ITP 060 Deployment"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\t<h1>ITP60 Deployment Operations<\/h1>\r\n\t<p>The last ITP deployed during the 2012 TransArc cruise on the R\/V Polarstern was ITP 60 with biosuite sensors.\u00a0 It was important to expand the ice hole as much as possible while augering to fit the biosuite profiler, as the sensors on endcap occupy the full 10.5\u201d diameter. The ice floe was large, but the best ice was located near the ship, not too far from the edge where the floe thickness was about 1.5+-0.3 m.
