ITP 1 was deployed on August 15, 2005 at 78.9 N, 150.3 W.\u00a0 ITP 1 and\u00a0US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) Ice Mass Balance Buoy\u00a0<\/a>(IMB 07949) were deployed on a 4.6 m thick multiyear ice floe. The ITP operated on a sample schedule of 4 one-way profiles between 10 and 760 m depth each day until 8 January 2007, when the profiler memory was filled with 2042 profiles. The unit was retrieved on 8 August 2007 at 74.7 N, 151.4 W.<\/p>\r\n ITP 3 was deployed on August 23, 2005 at 77.6 N, 142.2 W. ITP 3 and\u00a0US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) Ice Mass Balance Buoy\u00a0<\/a>(IMB 07950) were deployed on a 3.5 m thick multiyear ice floe. The ITP operated on a sample schedule of 4 one-way profiles between 10 and 760 m depth each day until 10 September 2006 when the unit was damaged during an attempted recovery operation near 74.3 N, 135.2 W.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t Deployment of ITPs 1 and 3 ITP numbers 1 and 3 were deployed in August 2005 in the Beaufort Gyre, as part of the\u00a0Beaufort Gyre Exploration Program\u00a0from the Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaker Louis S.
