of Coastal Pioneer Array<\/h1>\r\n

Nov. Expedition to Recover Pioneer Array for Move to Southern Mid-Atlantic Bight<\/h2>\r\n

A team of 20 scientists and engineers will leave the dock at Woods Hole, MA, aboard the R\/V Neil Armstrong<\/em> on November 9, 2022 to recover the Coastal Pioneer Array. Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s John Lund is serving as Chief Scientist. Cruise duration: November 9-22, 2022. Designed in 2016 as a re-locatable coastal array, the Coastal Pioneer Array has providing data about the Atlantic Ocean’s continental shelf and upper slope for the last six years. The array will be deployed to a new site in the Southern Mid-Atlantic Bight<\/a> <\/strong>in early 2024, where it will provide answers to pressing science questions in that region.\u00a0 Check back on this page for daily reports on this historic recovery expedition. \"Screen <\/a><\/p>\r\n
