\u00a0Fall Expedition to Coastal Endurance Array<\/h2>\r\n

Every six months, the Coastal Endurance Array team heads offshore from the Oregon and Washington coasts to recover and redeploy its ocean observing network. This bi-annual maintenance of the array ensures continual collecting and sharing of critical ocean data. On September 21, 2023, a team of 14 scientists and engineers from Oregon State University (OSU)will board the R\/V Atlantis <\/em>in Astoria, Oregon to begin a 16-day expedition, conducted in three separate legs. OSU’s Edward Dever is serving as Chief Scientist. Cruise duration: September 21-October 6, 2023. We will be sharing news about what’s happening aboard the Atlantis<\/em>, so check back here regularly for updates. \"Screen <\/a><\/p>\r\n

The Coastal Endurance Array is located in the northeast Pacific off the coasts of Oregon and Washington and consists of two cross-shelf moored array lines.<\/p>\r\n

The 274″ R\/V Atlantis <\/em>has more than 3,500 square feet of laboratory space for dedicated use by the onboard science party and variety of permanent tools to observe and advance understanding of our ocean.<\/p>\r\n
