{"id":536320,"date":"2025-05-19T16:25:43","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T20:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/ooi-expedition\/?p=536320"},"modified":"2025-05-30T16:33:43","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T20:33:43","slug":"surface-mooring-deployments-off-washington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/ooi-expedition\/surface-mooring-deployments-off-washington\/","title":{"rendered":"Surface Mooring Deployments Off Washington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"483\">On May 17, the R\/V <em data-start=\"312\" data-end=\"324\">Sally Ride<\/em> team made significant progress during the Spring 2025 turn of the Coastal Endurance Array, with the successful deployment of two major surface moorings:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"485\" data-end=\"589\">\n<li data-start=\"485\" data-end=\"536\">\n<p data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"536\">Washington Shelf Surface Mooring (CE07SHSM)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"589\">\n<p data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"589\">Washington Offshore Surface Mooring (CE09OSSM)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"941\">These surface moorings are part of a long-term observing network designed to monitor ocean conditions off the Pacific Northwest coast.
