He holds BA, MSc, and PhD degrees from the University of Rhode Island. Chris has performed extensive research on the physics and statistics of sea-level change, which he has done with support from NSF, as a member of various NASA Science Teams (GRACE, OSTST, NSLCT), and as part of multiple workshops and international teams convened by the International Space Science Institute in Bern, Switzerland. He is currently an associate editor at the AGU journal <em>Earth&#8217;s Future<\/em>. Prior to coming to WHOI, he was a staff scientist at Atmospheric and Environmental Research in Lexington, Massachusetts. Before that, he served as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps, teaching math and science at a secondary school near Rumphi, Malawi.
