The lab is located in the West wing of McLean on the main floor. Please follow signs for the Seafloor Samples Lab once inside the building.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whoi.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Maps-AUG2021_QuissettFULL.pdf\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.whoi.edu\/site\/seafloorsampleslab\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2022\/01\/Maps-AUG2021_QuissettFULL-768x593-1.png\" alt=\"Maps-AUG2021_QuissettFULL-768x593\" height=\"593\" width=\"768\" title=\"Maps-AUG2021_QuissettFULL-768x593\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<h2>Directions<\/h2>\n<h3>Driving Directions from Boston, Massachusetts<\/h3>\nTake Route 3 south; follow signs for\u00a0Cape Cod. Cross the Sagamore Bridge,<br \/>\ntake the first exit off Route 6, and follow\u00a0signs for Falmouth and Route 28. Travel\u00a0south along the Cape Cod Canal until you\u00a0reach the rotary at the base of the Bourne\u00a0Bridge. Three quarters of the way around\u00a0the rotary, bear right and continue south\u00a0on Route 28.\n<p>At the second rotary on Route 28, travel halfway around, bearing right to continue south to the town of Falmouth. Bear right at the gas station onto Woods Hole Road. Travel two and one-half (2.5) miles to WHOI&#8217;s Quissett campus (on the left). At the stop sign, turn right onto WHOI&#8217;s Ring Road. Turn left into the first driveway and park in the small lot on the right. From here, McLean is a short walk. Please note that parking is limited, especially in summer.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Driving Directions from Providence, Rhode Island<\/h3>\n<p>Take Route 195 east, then Route 25 east; follow signs for Cape Cod.\u00a0Cross the Bourne Bridge, travel halfway around the rotary on the Cape\u00a0side of the bridge, and follow signs to Route 28, Falmouth, and Woods\u00a0Hole. Continue south on Route 28, as directed below.<\/p>\n<p>At the second rotary on Route 28, travel halfway around, bearing right to continue south to the town of Falmouth. Please note that parking is limited, especially in summer.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Biking<\/h3>\n<p>The Shining Sea Bikeway is a paved, multi-use trail that runs 10.7 miles from North Falmouth to Woods Hole. Along the way, there are several convenient places to pick up the bike path and enjoy some cycling by the sea. The WHOI Quissett Campus can be accessed from the bike path just south of stop #2. There is well marked gravel path that connects the bike path to Surf Drive. Turn left onto Surf Drive and then right onto the second driveway for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Follow the Ring Road for .3 miles and turn right when you reach McLean Laboratory.
