Fouzia and Alex present their research at the biennial AMS tropical meeting
From 30 March through 2 April, Fouzia and Alex G attended American Meteorological Society’s 37th Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology in La Jolla, CA.
Fouzia presented her Ph.D. modeling research on the ITCZ and tropical waves entitled, “Improving the Representation of the East Pacific ITCZ and Convectively Coupled Equatorial Waves In Km-Scale Simulations Using the Model for Prediction across Scales-Atmosphere (MPAS-A).”

Alex presented former Ph.D. student Indrani Ganguly’s research on air-sea interaction and the ITCZ entitled, “The Fingerprints of Wind-Evaporation-SST Feedbacks In the East Pacific ITCZ: The Impact of Daily Versus Monthly SSTs In Forced CAM6 Simulations.”
