WHCOHH trainees include undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. These early career scientists play a vital role in advancing our Center’s research, while developing the skills and experience needed to become future leaders in the field of Oceans and Human Health.<\/h3>\n

Mekia Bushell<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mekia Bushell is a Ph.D. student working with Dr. Hahn and Dr. Aluru at WHOI, where her research focuses on the developmental effects of early-life exposure to saxitoxin.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Serena-Sung-Clarke-cropped\"\n\t

Serena Sung-Clarke<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Serena Sung-Clarke is a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Brosnahan’s lab at WHOI.\u00a0 Her dissertation is investigating the biology and ecology of the shellfish toxin-producing algae Dinophysis<\/em>, which forms harmful algal blooms of increasing global concern.<\/p>\n

Serena Negroni<\/h2>\nSerena Negroni is a Ph.D. student working with Dr. Ralston and Dr. McGillicuddy at WHOI, where she is investigating the influence of hydrodynamic processes on phytoplankton dynamics in the Gulf of Maine region.\n\t\t\t\t\"Talia-Feldscher\"\n\t

Talia Feldscher<\/h2>\n

Talia Feldscher earned her MPH in Dr. Heiger-Bernays’ lab, where she evaluated the quality of shellfish consumption data used to model human exposure to HAB toxins. She is currently a Research Fellow at Boston University’s Center for Climate and Health and the Institute for Global Sustainability.<\/p>\n
