WHOI Becquerels<\/h2>\n

Since 1996, the centennial of Henri-Antoine Becquerel’s discovery of radioactive decay, the WHOI Becquerels have been running the Cape Cod Marathon as a 5-person relay team.\u00a0 Core members of the team are Jerzy Blusztajn and Bernhard Peucker-Ehrenbrink, and Stan Hart before he moved South.\u00a0 Stace Beaulieu, Michelle Bennett, Crystal Breier, Peter Clift, Ann Dunlea, Roger Francois, Valier Galy, Rocky Geyer, Meagan Gonneea, Maura Hanning, Andy Heard, Forrest Horton, Matt Jackson, Peter Kelly, Anthony Kirincich, Pete Landry, Ben Linhoff, Kim Mayfield, Jill McDermott, Jerry McManus, Sune Nielsen, Sarah Rosengard, Ken Sims, Rob Spencer, Hubert Staudigel, Gretchen Swarr, Ann Tarrant and Chris Waters have been completing our team in past marathon relays.\u00a0 While we’d like to finish the race in less than three hours and thirty minutes (sub-8 minute miles), what really motivates us is the post-race beer and grazing at Liam Maguire’s Irish pub (or the Quarterdeck) near the finish line.<\/p>\n
