She serves on the <em>Commonwealth of Massachusetts&#8217;s<\/em> Climate Science Advisory Panel, is part of the <em>American Geophysical Union&#8217;s <\/em>Congressional Science Partners Program<em>, <\/em>and is an ambassador with the national non-partisan organization <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sciencemoms.com\"><em>Science Moms<\/em><\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0Dr. Das also recently completed two terms as an invited member of the Polar Research Board\u00a0of the <em>National Academy of Sciences<\/em>, served on the <em>National Research Council&#8217;<\/em>s\u00a0Committee for Future Science Opportunities in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean,\u00a0and was an expert in the <em>AAAS<\/em> &#8216;What We Know&#8217;\u00a0Climate Change project.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Das is frequently quoted in media outlets including <em>AP News, CNBC, New York Times, BBC, <\/em>and the<em> Boston Globe.\u00a0<\/em>She has also been featured on podcasts such as <em>Science Vs<\/em>, <em>Science Friday<\/em>, <em>Quirks and Quarks<\/em>, and <em>We Don&#8217;t Have Time<\/em>, and has been a featured scientist at the\u00a0<em>Woods Hole Film Festival<\/em>, at\u00a0<em>Climate Science Day\u00a0<\/em>on Capitol Hill, on\u00a0<em>NPR<\/em>,\u00a0<em>NOVA<\/em>, at the\u00a0<em>Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>MIT Museum<\/em>, and in the popular science book &#8220;<em>Science On Ice,<\/em>&#8221; among many other outlets.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES<\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Das is an experienced, engaging, inspiring and impactful public speaker on topics including polar (Arctic &amp; Antarctic) science, climate science, climate change impacts, sea level rise and coastal resilience.
