AR93 Underway!

One current—and two former—NIRVANA Lab members are aboard the R/V Neil Armstrong as she heads to the Gulf Stream. Jordyn Wemhoner (current), along with Peter Crockford and Ichiko Sugiyama (former), will be collecting seawater for decay experiments similar to those carried out on AT50-10 (CliOMZ), sampling particles with in situ pumps for cadmium isotope analysis, and gathering full water-column profiles for iodine speciation analysis. The Chief Scientist is Laura Motta.

I grabbed a few snaps from the dock as they pushed off this morning (below). You can track their progress here.

Fair winds and following seas to all aboard!
