UUV Missions and Tools Workshop

February 5-6, 2020 – UWDC Headquarters, SUBBASE Groton, CT (Bldg 439 Grenfell Hall)

WHOI, NUWC and UWDC are pleased to announce that we are planning a workshop focused on advancing specific UUV CONOPS through both concept refinement and development of underwater tools to support development of AI and autonomy. Day one involve presentation of several UUV CONOPS. Participants will be requested to comment on them from both a red and a blue perspective as well as suggest embellishments or concerns. In addition to being inherently valuable, Day 1 will also get people thinking about relevant missions and what is needed to accomplish them. Day 2 will focus on determining the characteristics of a simulation environment that would speed development planning, autonomy, perception, and other vehicle software in order to support these or the next generation of CONOPS. A classified workshop report including copies of most presentations will be available to attendees.
