About Me
I'm an observational chemical oceanographer interested in developing and deploying tools for inorganic carbon measurement in a variety of coastal settings.
I started out in physics and chemical engineering, pivoting towards geoscience when I discovered field work. My Master's focused on terrestrial paleocarbonate proxies with field work in the Andes mountains. I sailed on the E/V Nautilus as an ocean science intern, discovered a love of life at sea, then pursued a PhD in Chemical Oceanography in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program.
I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Stony Brook University, working on SEA MATE. This project uses an electrochemical method to locally mitigate ocean acidification while allowing for enhanced carbon sequestration from the atmosphere.
I am also working on publications from my PhD thesis as a guest investigator at WHOI.
I can often be found running along any beach road available, kayaking, or knitting.
