Research Interests
I am interested in where, when, and how the ocean stores and transports heat. This interest has led to me to study the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), the Gulf Stream, the dynamics of the subpolar gyre, and how fresh water from Greenland and the Arctic impacts the North Atlantic circulation. I also have research interests in the in the Arctic, including how Pacific water spreads across the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas.
If you are interested in joining Nick's lab as a student or postdoc, please email Nick directly.
