Buoy deployments near Prudhoe Bay, Alaska

This week, Maddie and UW graduate student Jake Davis completed deployments of 9 microSWIFT wave buoys over sea ice and ocean near Olikok Point, Alaska. These buoys will collect and send wave data via satellite telemetry, contributing to validation of measurements from seafloor cables as part of an ongoing NSF project, in collaboration with Sandia National Labs.
