Welcome!
I am currently a Research Scientist at University of Connecticut, working with Dr. Samantha Siedlecki, Dr. Colleen Petrick, and Dr. Matthew Long on a project about decadal predictability of oxygen and metabolic indices relevant to fisheries in large marine ecosystems of the ocean.
I have worked for ~3 years as a postdoc at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution working with Dr. Young-Oh Kwon, Dr. Paula Fratantoni, Dr. Ke Chen, Dr. Terry Joyce and Dr. Glen Gawarkiewicz on a project about developing and evaluating a statistical forecasting system for oceanographic conditions and living marine resources over the Northeast U.S. shelf.
I was trained as a coastal oceanographer through my PhD study with Dr. Enrique Curchitser at Rutgers University, where I investigated dynamics and spatio-temporal variability of the Mid-Atlantic Bight Cold Pool, and its potential connections with the meridional fluctuations of the Gulf Stream and the North Atlantic Oscillation.
Research Interests:
Coastal ocean dynamics; continental shelf and slope processes; Seasonal-to-interannual prediction/predictability in coastal oceans; Linkage between coastal ocean and large-scale climate /oceanic processes.
