Honey Chamomile Kelp Cake with Rose Petal Buttercream

Chamomile Kelp Cake
Ingredients
8 tablespoons unsalted butter
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
½ cup milk
¼ cup honey
½ teaspoon vanilla
3 chamomile tea bags
½ teaspoon lemon zest
2 teaspoons lemon juice
15 g smashed dried kelp
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
- In a medium bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, and eggs. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the milk, honey, vanilla, chamomile tea leaves, lemon zest, lemon juice, and kelp.
- Combine the contents of both bowls in the large bowl and mix well.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes.
Rose Petal Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
4 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoons heavy cream
Rose petals
Instructions
- Beat together all ingredients except for the rose petals.
- Finely cut up rose petals and mix with frosting.
- Add on top of the cake as desired.
