This research cruise onboard the Research Vessel Knorr (cruise number 161, legs 1 and 2) took place from January 12, 2000 and February 19, 2000. The work area is shown in the chart to the right. The research objectives of the cruise were to deploy 10 moorings and collect hydrographic data. This part of the cruise consisted of 103 full depth CTD profiles with sampling for salinity, dissolved oxygen, and nutrient tracers.
