Happy Mother’s Day

A quick post today to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day.

It was snowing like stink this morning, so we had a collection of birds on deck.  The dark one is a Cape Petrel, and we also had a bunch of the Snow Petrels.  Although the snow was melting quickly, it was falling so fast that about 6 inches accumulated on the ship.  Shoveled paths filled in again in minutes.  It finally stopped around lunch time, but we had a little fun this morning during our bucket water collection.

Below is my art project for today.  And yes, it does reflect my opinion regarding the weather – 3 days of snow and winds > 30 km/hr.
