Emerging Technologies to Advance Research and Decisions on the Environmental Health Effects of Microplastics
In January 2020, Dr. Hahn was on the organizing committee for a National Academy of Sciences workshop on the health effects of microplastics. Slides, videos, and the report from the workshop are available.
Morss Colloquium on Microplastics in the Marine Environment
To promote understanding of the microplastics problem, in October 2019 we organized a public colloquium entitled "Microplastics in the Ocean: Emergency or Exaggeration?". The colloquium was attended by a near-capacity audience of approximately 450 attendees in the Lillie Auditorium at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole. In addition, the colloquium was live-streamed through the Marine Biological Laboratory’s video site and WHOI’s Facebook page. The event can be viewed online here.
