Spring Expedition to Coastal Endurance Array
This is the 22nd bi-annual recovery and deployment expedition of the Coastal Endurance Array (EA), located off the coasts of Oregon and Washington. On May 17, 2025, a team Oregon State University (OSU)scientists and engineers boarded the R/V Sally Ride in Newport, Oregon to begin a 16-day expedition, which will be conducted in three legs. OSU's Jonathan Fram is serving as Chief Scientist.
Location
The Coastal Endurance Array is located in the northeast Pacific off the coasts of Oregon and Washington and consists of two cross-shelf moored array lines.
Ship
The R/V Sally Ride is an Ocean Class Auxiliary General Oceanographic Research (AGOR) vessel designed to perform multidisciplinary oceanographic research worldwide.
