IRMINGER: Mooring operations have been completed at the OOI Irminger Sea Array with the recovery of Flanking Mooring A. The top sphere was in good shape, but a little dirty after its year-long deployment. John Jordan hooked a recovery line onto the sphere to bring it aboard. The glass balls and acoustic releases at the bottom of the mooring stay a lot cleaner in the deep ocean. Many thanks to the Captain and crew of the R/V Neil Armstrong and the teams from OOI, OSNAP and Boston College.
