Shelf Mooring Recovery & Profiler Deployment

On May 19, the R/V Sally Ride team made solid progress in the Spring 2025 Coastal Endurance Array turn. The crew successfully recovered the Washington Shelf Surface Mooring (CE07SHSM-00019), retrieving a year’s worth of coastal ocean data.

Later in the day, the team deployed the Washington Shelf Coastal Surface Piercing Profiler (CE07SHSP-00017). This profiler is designed to collect high-resolution vertical profiles of key oceanographic variables, contributing to long-term monitoring along the Pacific Northwest shelf.

The cruise continues with further recovery and deployment operations as the team works their way north along the array.
