2018 Expedition

The BGOS & JOIS 2018 cruise to the Beaufort Gyre occured in September this year on the CCGS Louis St. Laurent with Sarah Zimmermann again as Chief Scientist in the field (with shore support provided by Bill Williams and Andrey Proshutinsky). As in previous expeditions, the 3 BG moorings will be recovered again, refurbished and redeployed -- for a 2 year duration. Three ITP surface packages and one damaged profiler were recovered, and IOS and collaborators obtained a full suite of hydrographic and geochemical stations across the region.
