Data Description

The FWC data format is:

[Latitude, Longitude, parameter in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018].

All data are in meters. Uncertainties for each grid cell are determined using the optimal interpolation technique previously described in Proshutinsky et al. (2009).

The figures below illustrate some of the gridded data fields.

Figure 2. FWC (m) in the upper ocean layer with salinities less than 30. Numbers at bottom of panels indicate year, total FWC (103km3) in the BG region and root mean square (RMS) error (103km3).
Figure 3. Same as in Figure S2 but for the middle water layer with salinity between 30 and 33.8.
Figure 4. Same as in S2 but for the deep water layer with salinity greater than 33.8.
Figure 5. Thickness (m) of the upper ocean layer with salinities less than 30. Numbers at the bottom of each panel indicate year, mean thickness (m) in the BG region and RMS thickness error (m).
Figure 6. Thickness (m) the middle water layer with salinity between 30 and 33.8. Numbers at the bottom of each panel indicate year, mean thickness (m) in the BG region and RMS thickness error (m).
