ITP 118 Deployment

ITP 118 was the third ITP deployed during the 2018 JOIS cruise on the CCGS Louis S. St. Laurent.  As the previous ITP deployment, the floe consisted of refrozen melt ponds with seawater sandwiched between ice at the top and bottom of the floe.  The deployment followed the same procedures as previous ice station deployment and proceeded smoothly without incident.

Ice analyses were also performed by others in the science party while the deployment operations took place.

More information and photos on the deployment operations are also available at: https://archives.whoi.edu/beaufortgyre/www.whoi.edu/page.do@pid=165376.html
